Event Details

These are the descriptions for each volunteer role:

-Registration Shifts: Greeting guests; getting paperwork signed and filed properly; make nametags; check radios in and out; give directions.

-Staging Shifts: Secure valuables, check off list wih times.

-Escort Shifts: Guide rappel participants from staging to roof entry door; return for next participant; also take participant messages to Emcee at Drop Zone.

-Gear Runner Shifts: Wait at Drop Zone boundary and receive ASAP equipment; take ASAP equipment to roof entry door and hand it over; return to Drop Zone.

-Floater Shifts: Move to any location where someone needs a break and support those responsibilities.

Attire: Please wear comfortable shoes and Business Casual Clothing. Please also bring a Photo ID.

Parking: General parking is available at the venue.

The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
